Integrating technology in English and Mathematics
Building foundational literacy and numeracy skills
Teacher training on innovative teaching methodologies
Classroom infrastructure improvements
Student engagement initiatives
PHASE 2.

SSS 1 – SSS 3

Expanding successful strategies from Phase 1
Advanced application of skills in diverse subjects
Career and tertiary education preparation
Technology integration across all subjects
Leadership development programs
Community and industry partnerships

Cross-School Collaboration

A key aspect of our strategy is breaking down silos between the Junior Secondary School (JSS) and Senior Secondary School (SSS) to create a seamless educational journey for students.

01

Curriculum Alignment

Coordinating curriculum content and teaching methodologies between JSS and SSS to ensure smooth transitions for students.

02

Professional Development

Joint training sessions for teachers from both schools to share best practices and innovative teaching approaches.

03

Shared Success Metrics

Unified performance indicators and assessment methods to track student progress throughout their secondary education.

04

Cross-School Mentoring

Creating opportunities for SSS teachers to mentor JSS teachers, and for older students to guide younger ones.

Current Engagement & Delivery Areas

Learner & Academic Enablement

Project STAR supports students through structured digital exposure, guided learning interactions, and reinforcement activities designed to strengthen comprehension, confidence, and academic readiness.

Delivery models emphasise accessibility, consistent engagement, and inclusive participation, ensuring learners benefit irrespective of prior digital familiarity or educational background.

Programmes are implemented using supervised, outcome-aware approaches aligned with practical classroom realities and learner support needs.

Digital & CBT Capability Development

Project STAR develops and stabilises digital learning and Computer-Based Testing (CBT) capabilities within a controlled operational environment. This includes device utilisation models, supervised assessment workflows, and examination-ready infrastructure patterns.

Lagelu Grammar School functions as the proof-of-value setting where infrastructure configurations, learner workflows, and operational procedures are validated prior to wider replication.

This approach enables measured deployment, risk reduction, and refinement of delivery mechanisms.

Project STAR Hosts Successful 2-Day Teacher Empowerment Programme

Educator & Delivery Support

Project STAR strengthens programme effectiveness by supporting educators, facilitators, and operational staff involved in delivery. This includes guidance on technology-assisted instruction, learner supervision structures, and practical digital integration approaches.

Support mechanisms are designed to complement existing teaching practices while improving delivery consistency and learner engagement outcomes.

The focus remains on usability, sustainability, and alignment with institutional constraints.

Replication & Scaling Framework

Insights derived from live implementations inform Project STAR’s broader replication strategy. Operational lessons, infrastructure patterns, learner engagement models, and governance considerations are analysed to guide multi-school adoption.

The Lagelu Grammar School environment provides practical validation of cost structures, workflows, and delivery controls, reducing uncertainty in future deployments. This framework underpins sustainable scaling while preserving programme integrity.

Literacy Enhancement Program

Our flagship initiative focuses on improving basic literacy skills for JSS1 students. Starting with a baseline of just 10% literacy in January 2025, we’ve already increased rates to 35% in just three months through innovative teaching methods, technology integration, and local language support.

 35% Current literacy rate
 80% Target by Sept 2025
 55% Target by June 2025

Key Components: Phonics instruction, vocabulary building, reading comprehension, Yoruba language integration, peer learning groups

CBT Services (WAEC & JAMB Pathway)

Project STAR has established CBT infrastructure to support WAEC and JAMB registration and examination readiness for students from underserved communities.

With approval from the Ministry of Education, free CBT services are being provided to selected students within Ibadan North-East LGA and Lagelu Grammar School as part of a phased scale-up toward full accreditation.
